PF adopts Humphrey Nzunda for Isoka

- By NATION REPORTER

PATRIOTIC Front has adopted Humphrey Nzunda, 24, as its candidate for Nkombwa Ward Local Government by-election in Isoka slated for February 12, 2019.

Isoka Constituency PF chairperson Alex Muma said in an interview yesterday that Mr Nzunda was picked out of five other applicants.

Mr Muma said all relevant PF structures from ward to provincial committees supported Mr Nzunda’s candidature for the Nkombwa ward by-election.

He said he was confident that the PF would retain the seat. ‘‘We are confident that our candidate is the best among the rest and he has the necessary skills to deliver to the people of Nkombwa ward. This by election will be a walk over for the PF because we have delivered on most promises in that ward and we are still committed to do more, therefore, people of Nkombwa will vote for our candidate,’’ Mr Muma said.

He said Mr Nzunda was a grass root person who was familiar with the challenges the people faced in the ward.

The PF had delivered most of the campaign promise such construction of health post, drilling of boreholes and grading of feeder roads, among other development projects, in the area, he said. He urged the PF members who were not adopted to remain loyal to the party and campaign for Mr Nzunda.

‘’My appeal to those applicants that have not been adopted is to remain loyal to the party and wait for your time.

We can only have one candidate at a time and let us help the adopted candidate in ensuring that PF retains the Nkombwa local government seat,’’ he said.

Mr Muma urged all political parties participating in the by-election to be issued based in their campaigns and avoid ferrying people from other places to Nkombwa in the run-up to the polls to cause violence.
