Recreation facility cheers Councillor
I’AM happy that young people will be kept away from retrogressive activities such as idleness and excessive beer drinking, says Mandevu constituency Ngwerere ward 19 councilor Adrian Banda.
Speaking on the sidelines of a project to refurbish the only football pitch in the ward, Mr Banda told the Daily Nation yesterday that a contractor has since been contracted to carry out the works. “Our focus for the community is to improve all aspects of life and we know that sport plays an important part in our lives,” he said.
Mr Banda expressed gratitude to President Edgar Lungu and Mandevu Member of Parliament Jean Kapata for promoting initiatives that would improve the lives of young people among them employment creation.
