WE NEED TOLL PLAZA, PLEADS KASEMPA DC

is need for government to quickly consider putting a toll plaza on the Kasempa- Kaoma road, says Kasempa district commissioner, Goodson Sansakuwa.

Mr Sansakuwa told journalist in Kasempa yesterday that the infrastructure had become a viable economic road as was evident with truck loads of copper, mining equipment and other merchandise being transported on the same route.

‘’I think there is urgent need for government to quickly consider coming up with a toll plaza on the Kasempa- Kaoma Road considering t the road has become very viable economically,’’ Mr Sansakuwa said. He said a toll plaza on the road would be a good idea because government was losing out on the much needed revenue.

‘’On a daily basis, over 200 heavy trucks pass through this road, light trucks and these smaller vehicles also use that route in numbers,’’ he added.

And Mr Sansakuwa has praised government for considering Kasempa as one of the districts that would benefit from the aqua park project in the province.

He said the project would not only change the lives of the people but also attract investors from across the globe.
