Selfish politicians annoy Mpombo
I have decided to come out of my political slumber because of the continued deterioration of politics in the country, veteran politician, George Mpombo has said.
Dr Mpombo blamed this situation on what he described as some “selfish leaders with insatiable appetite for power.”

Dr Mpombo, who had been away from politics since dissolving his political party, People’s Democratic Party in 2016, said he was forced to break from leave to bring sanity on the political scenario.
Dr Mpombo told the Daily Nation that he had watched with dismay the current happenings on the political scenario, saying that it had become extremely worrying. He said that the political situation in the country risked drifting into anarchy if something was not done urgently.
“I have decided to come so that I bring sanity in the political circles,” Dr Mpombo said. The veteran politician said he would bring about issued-based politics that would contribute to the development of the country as well as improve the well-being of the citizens.
And when asked whether he would support the PF or joining the opposition, Dr Mpombo said he would make a decision in due course.
Dr Mpombo said he would inform the nation which party he would want to work with.
