VJ wallowing in ancient politics - Mumbi

Mwaanga is a wasted politician who belongs to ancient politics, former United Party for National Development (UPND) presidential spokesperson Edward Mumbi has charged.
Mr Mumbi observed that the veteran politician,was no longer respected because he was now engulfed with frustrations of not receiving government favours.
He was reacting to Mr Mwaanga’s sentiments that only individuals in support of President Edgar Lungu and the ruling party were securing jobs in the civil service.
Mr Mumbi reiterated that having served under different governments, Mr Mwaanga understood better that each Government came with its own people it felt could perform according to expectations.
He said that Mr Mwaanga also knew very well that the practice was not peculiar to Zambia as other governments were doing the same.
Mr Mumbi charged that the veteran politician was now demeaning the Presidency out of frustration of not enjoying government.
“VJ knows very well that each Government wants to work with its people.
That is the practice every where you go and Mr Mwaanga knows that. This time around this is just out of frustration. He is demeaning President Lungu because there are no longer favours,” he said.
And Mr Mumbi claimed that Mr Mwaanga was also once a beneficiary of the said special appointments.
He reiterated that Mr Mwaanga was privileged to serve in certain positions when there were other people more qualified to hold the same offices.
Mr Mumbi said that Mr Mwaanga was being naïve by deliberately alarming the nation with issues he was well conversant with.
He advised Mr Mwaanga to tone down as his style of politics was making him lose the respect he once enjoyed.
