Contractors set on $190m ethanol project
SUNBIRD Bioenergy Africa (SBA) has engaged Third Way Africa and CMBM as contractors for the ethanol plant at a cost of $190 million, says SBA chief executive officer Richard Bennett.
Mr Bennett led a high- powered delegation of contractors from the United Kingdom and China to Kawambwa district.

CMBM who have been engaged by Sunbird to construct an ethanol processing plant in
Muyembe area.
The delegation has visited the construction site in Muyembe shortly after a conducted tour of the cassava nursery in Chitondo area.
Mr Bennett has announced that the construction would take 12 months from the date of commencement next year.
Mr Bennett said Sunbird had engaged Third Way Africa and CMBM as contractors for the project at a cost of $190 million and that the firm would start producing ethanol by the 2021.
Joining the delegation were Kawambwa District Commissioner Ivo Mpasa and Mr Maopu.
