‘Feasting on unfulfilled promises not enough’

- By NATION REPORTER

THE PF in Siavonga has advised Member of Parliament Darius Mulunda to priotise delivering on his 2016 campaign promises as opposed to concentrating on organising feasts in the name of thanking people for voting for him.

Reacting to Mr. Mulunda's claim in Matua ward during a feast oranised by him on Sunday to thank the people in the area for voting for the UPND in the 2016 elections, district party chairman Elijah Chitalu said the area MP and his party should stop what he termed day dreaming but instead apologize to the people for lying to them during the last election.

Mr Chitalu said the best 'thank you' Mr. Mulunda and the UPND could give to the people of Siavonga was to address the many challenges faced by the area such as poor road network and water blues in the district.

He urged the people of Siavonga not to be cheated by the UPND that can form Government in 2021 because there is no single indication to that effect to show that the people are fade up with the PF government.

''As a party we challenge the MP to state even one indication that the people of Zambia wants change of Government.

The fact that he is busy slaughtering a cows for people is a clear sign that he is panicking.

Mr Chitalu said it’s saddening to see the MP kick starting campaigns for 2021 when he has done nothing to point at in terms of bringing development to the area, adding that despite the PF government releasing funds for development in the area the UPND led council has failed to put the resources to better the lives of people.
