Women donate to education, health department­s

MKUSHI District women’s and youth organising committee has donated bales of second hand clothes to the education and health department­s.

The organising committee through the District Commission­er Luka Mwamba donated baby clothes to Mkushi District Old Hospital and Mulundu clinic in Chibefwe ward.

“This donation is coming your way as part of the youth day celebratio­ns because government takes care of the children and developmen­t of youths who are the future leaders. Continue taking care of the children," Mr. Mwamba said.

Mr. Mwamba said children were future leaders of the nation and that the PF government was pro- poor and therefore wanted to see developmen­t of children.

The DC further urged women who had benefited from the baby clothes at the under-five clinic and children’s ward to take good care of the children. Mr. Mwamba who also donated bale of clothes to Kawama Primary School shared a light moment with pupils who were happy with the donation.

During the same time, Mr. Mwamba inspected parts of Ilume Road that were in a deplorable state together with Stalwart investment Limited which is working on the 20.2km stretch township roads.
