Govt tightens social cash transfer systems

DEPUTY Secretary to the Cabinet Christopher Mvunga says Government is putting measures in place to avoid a repeat of concerns that led to the standoff with donors over the social cash transfer scheme.

Mr Mvunga said the new systems will be implemented under Smart Zambia. He said that government has held a meeting with cooperating partners to iron out concerns regarding the social cash transfer scheme. Mr Mnvunga said government and the donors are keen to see the scheme continue benefitting the underprivileged.
