Sales tax still under consultation

GOVERNMENT says it expects to conclude stakeholder engagement on the implementation of the sales tax next week.

Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Industry Permanent Secretary Kayula Siame said Government was still getting views and concerns from the private sector as the country was preparing to shift from the VAT taxation mode to sales tax.The sales tax mode is supposed to take effect on April 1st, 2019.
