ZESCO United’s dismal performance
Dear Editor, ZESCO top brass should overhaul the coaches and technical bench.
This follows their dismal performance on Sunday after the team was eliminated from the CAF Confederation Cup race following a 3-0 humiliation to rivals Nkana in a group C match day five played at Nkana Stadium in Kitwe.
Zesco United club chief executive officer Richard Mulenga cannot be blamed for being furious with Zesco’s poor showing.
As a fan I feel this is unacceptable because that is not what I was expecting.
The team’s recent performance is definitely a worry. According to the Zesco boss, something has gone wrong at the club and needs to be rectified immediately for the team to get back on track. The club’s technical team should give concrete answers when they meet in a closed door meeting to review the team’s performance. There should be a serious post-mortem of the team’s performance in the inter-club race.
This review of the team’s performance is vital as it will guide the club on the way forward. We need concrete answers over this poor performance. SIMON LUNGU, Ndola.
