NORTH-WEST PF DISOWNS DIVISIVE ELEMENTS

- By JACKSON MAPAPAYI

Patriotic Front party youth leadership in North- Western province has distanced itself from elements calling for the resignation of the party’s secretary general Davis Mwila.

Reacting to a statement issued by a PF member Mathews Sakala claiming that youths in the province want Mr Mwila to resign from his position, PF provincial youth chairperson Aminion Hara said the statement had no blessings of the party leadership in the province.

He said Mr Sakala was a disgruntled hired youth by some members who were against the party’s secretary-general.

Mr Hara stated that Sakala was not in any party structure and therefore had no authority to issue any statement on behalf of youths in the province.

‘’As youths in the province, our stance is very clear, we are solidly behind His Excellence President Edgar Chagwa Lungu, our hard working secretary general Davis Mwila and the entire party leadership.

‘’So, the statement issued by Mr Sakala does not represent us. Besides, he does not stay here in North-Western province neither is he in any party structure,’’ he said.

Mr Hara warned that youths in the province would not tolerate any hired ‘gun’ to destabilise the party in the province.

‘’This is a warning to whoever is sending and those being sent to come here and issue unpalatable statements. We will not tolerate that,’’ he said.

Mr Hara urged youths to concentrate on party mobilisation ahead of 2021.
