- By KALOBWE BWALYA

PATROTIC Front (PF) National Chairperson Samuel Mukupa says the party was more than ready to contest take part in the forth -coming Katuba parliamentary by-election and is confident of scooping the seat. Mr Mukupa told the Daily Nation in an interview, that every political party was sizing itself by trying to push its own agenda and ensuring that development was delivered across the country. Mr Mukupa said although the seat was held by the opposition UPND, the PF was hopeful of scooping it because political support was flirtatious. He said the PF had always been ready to participate in all elections and political activities, because it had a mandate to run the affairs of the country up to 2021. He added that if the PF was looking forward to winning the seat because it would add a number to its MPs and help grow the party. “We are positive that we can build on the support block that we had before and we are very positive to get Katuba seat, because obviously there is support change, attitude change and landscape in politics is never static,” said Mr Mukupa. Mr Mukupa said PF party would not dwell on talking, but to walk the talk in national development and in equitable distribution of development because that was the legacy that President Edgar Lungu wanted us to leave behind. “Yes the seat was held by our colleagues from UPND, but it does not mean that everybody voted for UPND because we had our fair share of support in the area and we feel strongly that there has been that strength by way of on-going mobilization of the party,” said Mr Mukupa.
