Chanda slams Kambwili over tribal politics

- By KALOBWE BWALYA

PATROTIC Front media director Sunday Chanda has described the disgruntled former Roan Member of Parliament Chishimba Kambwili has an agent of “tribal hegemony”.

And PF Mandevu constituency secretary Lemmy Bwalya has challenged Mr Kambwili to go for a mental health scrutiny .

Mr Chanda said, Mr Kambwili does not mean well to the nation and that his kind of politics had no place in Zambia. Mr Chanda said Mr Kambwili had now taken aim at the people of Eastern Province as victims of his deep-rooted tribalism.

He said his tribal talk was poisonous to national unity, having constantly abused the people of Southern Province on a wholesale basis.

Mr Chanda said Mr Kambwili still owed Southern Province for his half-hearted apology, hence he needed to take responsibility and apologies wholeheartedly rather than blaming his tribal attacks on evil spirits like he did.

“Why is Mr Chishimba Kambwili so bent on stereotyping people’s political choices according to their tribe? We are “One Zambia – One Nation,” h e said.

And Mr Bwalya said Zambians should judge Mr Kambwili for themselves as a person who wanted to serve as Republican President.

“Mr Kambwili’s out bursts have left him and his head empty such that he has nothing more to talk about, but to bring the name of President Lungu into disrepute,” he said.Mr Bwalya said that Mr Kambwili’s mental capacity should be checked.

“We stand with President Lungu and pledge to deal with the unprecedented ignorance in Mr Kambwili by challenging him to go for mental health scrutiny, perhaps the man might not be thinking properly,” he said.

Mr Bwalya reiterated that Mr Lungu was not a President for Easterners alone but all Zambians.

He charged that opposition leaders such as Mr Kambwili had forgotten their role.
