MISS GRAND ZAMBIA TO BE UNVEILED TOMORROW

THE first-ever Zambian representa­tive to the prestigiou­s and internatio­nally acclaimed Miss Grand Internatio­nal is set to be announced tomorrow at a cocktail and coronation ceremony planned for Kingsland City, Twin palm Road in Lusaka’s Ibex area

Miss Grand Zambia pageant director Isabel Chikoti Tervo announced in an interview with the Nation Entertainm­ent that the unveiling of the model to represent Zambia is a sign that the country will now undertake activities and programmes run by Miss Grand Internatio­nal. “Being the national director for Miss Grand Zambia is an opportunit­y for me to spread the messages of the Miss Grand Internatio­nal platform which is stop the war and violence not only that, it’s also to focus on stopping gender violence and sexual abuse in Zambia,” said Isabel in explaining her main role as Franchise holder for the Miss Grand Internatio­nal.

Isabel says she went to win Miss Grand for the first time as a representa­tive where she acquired the Franchise which she has put to effect and get a winner to represent the country next year.

For this reason Isabel explained that she had run a selection process to get a winner who will bear the title of Miss Grand-Zambia and serve as a figure behind

She thanked her sponsors and those twho are willing to come on board to help crown the winner who will only be announced tomorrow.

Eleora Gems are one of the sponsors on board and are designing the crown for the winner. This is a specially designed crown that exposes Zambia’s rich potential in natural resources and craftsmans­hip.
