FOREIGN MONEY DRIVING OPPOSITION - KALUMBA
ZAMBIAN politics are deteriorating because the opposition is being used by foreigners who are
their pay masters to fight
for regime change, former Finance minister Katele Kalumba has said.
Dr Kalumba said it was disheartening that some opposition leaders were driven by money just to fight the current government.
He said this kind of politics was uncalled for because it would not help in any way to develop the country.
He said it was prudent for opposition parties to engage in genuine politics than be influenced by external forces.
Dr Kalumba said the country would be in a mess if certain political parties being sponsored by external forces were given the mandate to govern the country.
Dr Kalumba was disturbed with the development, saying such politics should be condemned by all Zambians.
“We are fighting each other because of the external forces that are using us. This is really worrying but Zambians should condemn such kind of politics,” Dr Kalumba said.
He said opposition political parties had ignored issued-based politics and were engaging in dirty politics because of being influenced by foreigners who he said were using millions of dollars to fund the opposition.
He stated that this kind of politics would only create chaos in the country adding it would be more like the country was being recolonised.
He said politicians should be smart enough to protect the interest of the nation and not bend to external forces.
Zambia, he added, would go backwards if the so-called big power will start taking centre stage in
