C/B PF BOSS COUNSELS CANDIDATE

- By NATION REPORTER

PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Copperbelt provincial chairman Nathan Chanda has urged the party’s candidate in the Lubwa local government by-election, Julius Kaunda, to continue being a loyal member and work closely with Member of Parliament Joe Malanji it is he is elected ward councillor tomorrow.

Mr Chanda said if elected Mr Kaunda was expected to be loyal to the party, the electorate and emulate the hard-working MP who was always equal to the task.

He said during a campaign meeting in Lubwa Ward ahead of tomorrow’s by-election that Mr Kaunda should work closely with Mr Malanji.

“Mr Malanji has been a hardworking MP, a loyal and committed MP who always strives to defend the party and President Edgar Lungu from unfair attacks. So, I am urging you, Mr Kaunda, that once elected as Lubwa Ward councillor, you should work closely with Mr Malanji.

“You should be humble to the electorate, loyal to the party, defend President Lungu and ensure that you are on the spot when there is a problem in any part of your ward. You will be called to duty

any time. So roll your ready,’’ Mr Chanda said.

He said opposition leaders who had a record of grabbing land from people should not be considered for the position of republican president because they were untrustworthy.

It was surprising that opposition leaders who had failed to come up with proper initiatives and programmes for youth empowerment while they were serving as ministers of youth and sports were the ones criticising Government over unemployment.

Mr Chanda said Zambians should not entertain lies and political rhetoric from disgruntled opposition politicians because they were making noise through worthless tantrums.

“The PF will not be shaken by the worthless tantrums of these opposition leaders because they are making noise to remind people of their presence on the political arena, but sometimes such kind of noise make people lose relevance on the political arena,” he said.

The PF could not afford to respond to whatever those opposition leaders were saying.

“We have work to do. After all, it does not befit the lion to respond to the dogs. For them, they have all the time to insult,” he said. sleeves and get
