PRESIDENT Edgar Lungu is today expected in Muchinga Province on a two-day working visit, Muchinga Province Permanent Secretary Joyce Nsamba has confirmed.

Ms Nsamba said the president was expected to arrive in Isoka today where is expected to commission the newly constructed Isoka Trades Training Institute.

‘‘I can confirm that the Head of State will be in Muchinga Province on a two-day working visit. While in Muchinga, President Lungu will among other things commission the ultra-modern Isoka Trades school,’’ Ms Nsamba said.

Ms Nsamba said the president would later proceed to inspect the ongoing construction on the Great North Road from Isoka to Chinsali.

She said President Lungu would later on fly to Nakonde where he will launch the ZAFFICO plantation.

‘‘Tomorrow the president will attend the church service at United Church of Zambia (UCZ) at Chinsali Main congregation, ’she said.

Ms Nsamba said the President will then commission the newly constructed Muchinga Province police headquarters in Chinsali and inspect ongoing construction at Chinsali General Hospital.

She said President Lungu was also scheduled to inspect works at provincial studios in Chinsali and later meet traditional leaders at Tazama guest house before departing for Lusaka.

Meanwhile, PF national youth executive committee member Francis Kapyanga has commended President Lungu for fulfilling the promise to complete the construction of the first-ever trades training institute in the province.

Mr Kapyanga said the completion and commissioning of Isoka Trades Training Institute was a dream come true for the youths of Muchinga Province.

Mr Kapyanga said the trades training institute would enable youths in the region and beyond to acquire trades and skills that would allow them to set up their businesses to create employment for themselves and others.

Mr Kapyanga said the opening of trades institute was yet another demonstration of PF government’s commitment to uplift the living standards of the youths in the country.
