Zambezi hospital to get facelift

-

Chilufya Government intends to refurbish Zambezi District Hospital to provide quality health services to the people, says Minister of Health Chitalu

Dr Chilufya also says Government intends to build mini hospitals in the district aimed at decongesting Zambezi and Chitokoloki hospitals.

He was speaking when he graced this year's Lunda Lubanza traditional ceremony in Zambezi district at the weekend.

Dr And Chilufya says Government has given priority to youth development programmes across the country.

He said the programme underscored the importance of youth participation in national development.

Dr Chilufya said Government recognised that youths were the future leaders and constituted the largest proportion of Zambia’s population.

There therefore needed special attention.

He said the Ministry of Youth, Sport and Child Development had a policy that was tailored to be responsible to the needs of the youths.

And speaking through Lunda Lubanza Cultural Association chairperson, Senior Chief Ishindi appealed to Government to complete the rehabilitation of feeder roads in the district. Chief Ishindi said most feeder roads were in a bad state especially those in areas where the production of maize and cassava was high.
