When contacted from South Africa, Nyirenda said there was nothing of such an offer from FAZ. “There is nothing,” he responded.
FAZ deputy general secretary Joseph Chimpampwe said he was shocked by the media reports from South Africa.
“I am or rather FAZ is not aware of that news. It’s a shock because we are yet to advertise the job and not given Nyirenda any offer,” he said.
Nyirenda, 52, resigned as Chipolopolo coach in May, 2018 after been at the helm of the job since September of 2016.
Last week, he was angry with the soccerbody for failing to settle his dues accumulated when he served as national team coach.
Ministry of Youth, Sport and Child Development permanent secretary Joe Kapembwa assured Nyirenda that Government would pay all the outstanding moneys.
In August, FAZ picked Serbian Veselin Jelusic to drill the team but he was rejected by Government. The soccerbody was advised to follow the right employment procedure and advertise the job.

Zambia recorded one victory and lost the other four matches at the tournament to move to
tenth on the continent’s best
women rugby teams list.
“The Boys” started their campaign in Tunisia with an embarrassing 36-0 loss to South Africa before the tightly contested 15-10 defeat to
Uganda.
Zambia continued with her poor performance on the second
day of the games, losing 12-7
to neighbours Zimbabwe before the 21-14 defeat to Ghana.
The team’s only victory
came in the last game at the tournament when they beat Botswana 24-5.
