WE’LL PURSUE PLUNDERERS OF PUBLIC ASSETS - LUNGU
President Lungu warned that if such people were given a chance to form Government, they could sell all public properties, including the country.
The President said he already heard that the same politician was planning to sell the presidential jet when in office, a statement he described as mis-placed.
He was speaking during a rally at Chilindi Sec-ondary School in Mbereshi to drum up support for the PF candidate in the Mwansabombwe par- liamentary by-election, Mr Kabaso Kampampi.
President Lungu said the jet was part of public property and that it did not belong to any individual.
"Inga bashama twalabakonka (if they are unlucky we will follow them). They have sold our mines, our hotels but Zambians will not allow that any-more," he said.
President Lungu urged Mbereshi residents to vote for Mr Kampampi so that all developmental projects left behind by the late MP, Rogers
Mwewa could be completed.
He said politicians boasted of being rich but could not build any piece of infrastructure for the public.
And PF secretary general, Davis Mwila, said Mr Kampampi was well placed to lobby for development that Mwansabombwe was in need of. Mr Mwila said UPND president, Hakainde Hichilema, and his party had nothing to offer the people of Mwansabombwe.
Meanwhile, PF deputy secretary general, Mumbi Phiri, bemoaned the politics of insults being practiced by Mr Hichilema. Ms Phiri said the insults were disheartening and wondered what kind of a leader Mr Hichilema was.
She urged electorates not to vote for candidates associated with leaders championing vulgar language.
