Malanji tells off those planning to sell Indeni

FOREIGN Affairs Minister Joseph Malanji says it is sad that some politician­s are determined to sell Indeni Oil Refinery in Ndola in the unlikely event that they formed government.

Mr Malanji also says the Patriotic Front (PF) Government is aware that population growth creates demand for more infrastruc­ture.He was speaking in Parliament yesterday during resumption of debate of the 2021 National Budget.

2021 Budget Speaks to an Ordinary Zambian - Makebi Zulu

EASTERN PROVINCE Minister Makebi Zulu says the 2021 National Budget is pro- poor as social cash transfer has been increased from 750,000 to 994,000 beneficiar­ies.

Mr Zulu says he is happy to note that a Fruit Processing Plant is coming up in Eastern Province as it will create jobs and value addition. He says Eastern Province depends heavily on tourism adding that the tourism sector incentives will save jobs with people putting food on the table.

ECL bouncing back next year - Defence Minister DEFENCE Minister Davies Chama says President Edgar Lungu will bounce back into office next year because he possesses resilient and innovative leadership skills.

Mr Chama says the President who is also Commander in Chief of Armed Forces is transformi­ng Zambia from greatness to greatness.

He says the PF Government since 2011 has been committed to transformi­ng Zambia to lay a foundation for better things to come.

PF Building 82 schools, 120 more on the table

GENERAL Education Minister Hon. Dr. Dennis Wanchinga says Government is building 82 low cost day secondary schools across the country.

The project is being funded with a Loan from the World Bank with each school expected to cost K3.5 Million.

Dr Wanchinga was speaking in the Fifth Session of the Twelfth Assembly in Parliament yesterday in response to PF Chadiza MP Salatiel Tembo during questions for oral answer session.
