NAPSA will bounce back, says Fathi

- By MUKWIMA CHILALA

CONFEDERATION Cup- bound NAPSA Stars coach Mohamed Fathi is optimistic that his side will bounce back to winning ways despite its current winless streak.

Fathi is however concerned with his side’s bluntness on goal and attributes it to the high number of injured players.

Fathi noted that some of his dependable strikers such as Tapson Kaseba are still down with knocks while striker Laudt Mavugo has just returned from injury.

The NAPSA Stars coach notes that the result does not reflect the performance of the team as most of the teams that are playing continental are focused on their CAF engagements.

Fat hi however said that his focus will now be on the next game against Ngazi of Comoros and is looking on picking maximum results from that tie.

“Most of the teams that are going to play continental are focusing on the international matches a little bit, if you look at Nkana they lost also, Forest also. So what we need to do is maintain our focus and our next game is in Comoros away and there is not much pressure on them so we need to win,” Fathi said. Tapson is not around, Bonwell got injured, we tried to come with Ladvt but he is coming from sickness so the striking force is a concern for us and it has affected us a little bit. I can’t deny that but we will manage our game.

NAPSA have failed to win their last three games and on Wednesday lost 2-0 away to Buildcon in their brought forward week 3 fixture.

The pensioners next week leave for Comoros for their debut continental engagement in a first leg fixture against Ngazi.
