And Forum for Democracy and Development president Edith Nawakwi has called on police to investigate how Mr Hichilema fraudulently acquired a farm in Kalomo that was under liquidation without an offer.
Ms Nawakwi said farm No 1924 in Kalomo was originally a Lima Bank property which was acquired “fraudulently” by Mr Hichilema.
She said there was need for the police to ascertain how a property which was under liquidation after a family failed pay off a loan they procured from Lima Bank ended up in Mr Hichilema’s hands without proper documentation.
Mr Nawakwi said there was a clear case of forgery and fraud because there was no clean documentation to support the transactions alleged to have taken place.
She said the mortgage discharge for the property should be thoroughly checked, assuring that wrongdoing would be exposed.
Meanwhile, Mr Tayali wondered why Government was failing to prosecute land scandals involving the UPND president, Mr Hichilema even when evidence was readily available.
He observed that there had been several matters involving Mr Hichilema were fraud was suspected but that the State had given them little attention.
Mr Tayali said the State were supposed to side with poor people who were victims of these shady dealings.
