- By KETRA KALUNGA

DO not be tempted to engage in partisan politics but continue to serve the government of the day, Central Province Minister, Sydney Mushanga has urged civil servants.

Mr Mushanga urged them to continue supporting Government in all its development projects and programmes.

He was speaking yesterday when he handed over various Covid-19 materials to schools in Kabwe.

He advised teachers to continue serving the government and the nation at large faithfully because education was important in the development process.

"As those managing human resources, continue to serve the government of the day and not to be tempted to engage in partisan politics," Mr

Mushanga said.

He said Government had delivered development to the people and would continue to do so even after bouncing back to office after the August 12 general elections.

Mr Mushanga said: “Unlike other political parties, the Patriotic Front is working and already have a programme in place on managing the country."

He also disclosed said that

Government has released about K4.8 million to the contractor working on the township roads in Kabwe which are in a bad state.

A teacher, Mr George Bwalya, in a vote of thanks delivered on behalf of the other teachers commended Government for opening schools amidst Covid-19.

Mr. Bwalya assured that teachers would ensure adherence to the Covid-19 guidelines to prevent the spread of the deadly virus in learning institutions.
