- By MICHAEL MIYOBA

THE 2021/2022 FAZ Eden University na tional division one league comes to a close today with a lot of in triguing fixtures lined up.

While, Lumwana Radiants and MUZA FC will be fighting for their maiden division one league title against Luapula Eagles and Quattro Kalumbila FC respectively, giants Nchan ga Rangers and Mufulira Wan derers will seek wins in their final games as they chase a top four finish to win promotion to the Super League.

Lumwana Radiants lead the national Division league table with 66 points, three points ahead of second placed MUZA who will be hosting rel egated Kuattro Kalumbila at Nakambala Stadium in Mazabuka.

With the title already in their hands, Radiants will fight to avoid making a mistake when they take on Luapula Green Eagles at Kaole Stadium in Mansa knowing that defeat in Mansa may gift the title to MUZA who are deemed as fa vourites to collect maximum points against Quattro Kalumbila.

Meanwhile, Mufulira Wan derers will be involved in a do or die clash with KYSA at Pres ident Stadium in Kabwe.

Mighty who are fifth on the log with 53 points, will fight for a 2-0 win in Kabwe while pray ing for Nchanga Rangers to lose to ZESCO Malaiti Rangers to claim the last promotion spot with the first three spots having been scooped by Radi ants, MUZA and NAPSA Stars.

However, Mighty's return to the Super League seems to be an impossible mission after Nchanga Rangers players were promised K5000 win ning bonus if they beat Zesco Malaiti and another K15000 if they win promotion to the Super League, according to sources at the club.

For the Mufulira Wanderers executive, anything can hap pen in today's game as the two giants of Zambian football seek a return to Zambia's top flight football league.

"Football being what it is, anything can happen so we are treating the last game very seriously and once it is played we will chart the way forward but for now we just have to ap ply ourselves and we are equal to the task.

Who knows it can go the other way round and we re main positive about it," Mu fulira Wanderers FC President George Katongo said.

Meanwhile, ABSA Cup champions NAPSA Stars will aim to finish the division one league on a positive note when they take on Gomes FC in the final match at Dora Hill Stadium in Ndola.

Motivated by the 1-0 win over Zambian Champions Red Arrows to win the ABSA Cup last Saturday, the Pensioners will be under no pressure go ing into today game with pro motion to the Super League having already been secured.

In other matches, relegated Livingstone Pirates will host Trident at Maramba Stadium in Livingstone while City of Lusaka will host Young Green Eagles at Woodlands Stadium in Lusaka.
