397 PUPILS GET SECONDARY SCHOOL BURSARIES IN MAGOYE
THREE hundred and ninety-seven pupils have been awarded secondary school boarding bursaries under the Constituency Development Fund in Magoye Constituency.
This is out of 442 applicants who had applied.
Magoye Member of Parliament Mweemba Malambo confirmed that K1, 191, 000 has since been paid in various schools under this programme.
Mr Malambo also disclosed that 11 candidates have been awarded bursaries for skills development at a cost of K28, 000.
He explained that those who were not picked had no acceptance letters from schools and were advised to get letters and reapply.
He said the constituency still has money for secondary school bursaries while calling on the eligible pupils to apply. Mr Malambo said it is the desire of the new dawn administration to see it that all eligible applicants are awarded bursaries.
Meanwhile, Mr Malambo has disclosed that 46 clubs have been approved to receive K10, 000 grants each and that the money is expected to be transferred into their accounts before the end of the month.
