UPND COUNSELLED OVER BAD TRAITS

- By ROGERS KALERO

IT is ridiculous and a clear indication of incompetence for the UPND which promised Zambians a better life, to abandon its campaign promise and start persecuting whoever was criticising its mediocre leadership, PF Copperbelt Media Director Munalula Moola says.

Mr Moola said most Zambians in communities were regretting voting for the UPND because it has brought untold misery and has exhibited mediocre leadership which Zambians have never seen since independence.

"Yes, the UPND has within a short time of being in government lost support from the majority poverty stricken Zambians who had hope that it will deliver them in heaven only to be delivered in hell where even agricultural inputs cannot be delivered on time.

"This UPND used to brag during campaigns, but they have lamentably failed to deliver on their campaign promises. They cannot even lay a firm foundation for poverty alleviation and food security. This UPND has plunged this country into serious hunger,'' Mr Moola said.

Mr Moola added,'' the most disappointing thing was that the UPND has no sense of shame. In the midst of these failures of delivering agricultural inputs on time and others, it is still persecuting political rivals who are criticising its mediocre leadership.

Mr Moola also said the conduct of the UPND and its cadres where they wanted to silence whoever was criticising their failures was a clear beginning of dictatorship which Zambians, starting from the church and civil society Organisations (CSO) must resist.

He said the caderism, which Zambians and the UPND complained and condemned during the time of the PF had worsened with the ruling party cadres insulting technocrats and law enforcement.

He said it was shameful that the UPND which promised Zambians 'Heaven on Earth' during the 2021 elections had abandoned its campaign promises and was slowly turning Zambia into ' Hell' through political persecution and worsening hunger and poverty levels. He said it was sad and disappointing that, after failing to fulfil its campaign promises, the New Dawn government wanted to govern the country through Black Mail to silence its critics, intimidation, threats and other forms of dictatorial tendencies.
