“I have no doubt that our new Chief Sales and Dis­tri­bu­tion Of­fi­cer will bring the ca­pa­bil­ity and ex­per­tise to con­tinue to build Voda­fone Zam­bia as a flag­ship busi­ness in Zam­bia and main­tain its po­si­tion as an in­no­va­tive next-gen­er­a­tion op­er­a­tor,” Lars Stork, CEO of Voda­fone Zam­bia said.

The lu­cra­tive Telco mar­ket which in 2016 posted in­dus­try rev­enues of about USD437mil­lion is ex­pected to ex­pand fur­ther as the pop­u­la­tion ex­pand and more youths reach the age of eco­nomic ac­tiv­ity, mostly post-sec­ondary school grad­u­a­tion. The Min­is­ter for Com­mu­ni­ca­tion also an­nounced that Zam­bia will have the 4th ex­panded li­cense Mo­bile net­work op­er­a­tor by the end of quar­ter two (Q2) 2018, a move ex­pended the fur­ther raise the tempo of com­pe­ti­tion.
