Saro Agro In­dus­trial Ltd, is an In­dian Zam­bian com­pany, es­tab­lished by the Oza fam­ily. Their his­tory in Zam­bia goes back to 1940 when the late Chair­man set­tled in Liv­ing­stone and es­tab­lished his busi­ness. That was the hum­ble base from which the Saro Group even­tu­ally emerged.

Saro Agro was one of the ma­jor ex­hibi­tants at this year's Cop­per­belt Agri­cul­tural, Min­ing, In­dus­trial, Net­work­ing and En­ter­prise - CAMINEX, which was held in Kitwe un­der the theme repo­si­tion­ing for en­vi­ron­men­tally sus­tain­able economic growth. Alphon­sina Mwila who is the Sales Of­fi­cer told ZBT that the com­pany has been in the in­dus­try for the past 20 years. She said the com­pany has branches not only in Kitwe, but in Mpongwe, Mkushi and Chipata. The com­pany also plans on open­ing ad­di­tional branches in Sol­wezi and Kawama.

Mrs Mwila fur­ther said that the show is very im­per­a­tive as it cre­ates aware­ness for the peo­ple on the type of equip­ments avail­able and they use through pro­vid­ing af­ter sale ser­vices. It also helps to plan in our busi­ness in achiev­ing our tar­gets suc­cess­fully.

She also said the whole­sale deal­er­ship de­pends on the value of the item in pur­chase like 1 spray is about 15%.
