Chivaviro’s double launch a success

Queens Sport Club THE Delta Beverages Golden Pilsener “Afrofusion Concert” featuring two of South Africa’s prominent female artistes’ – DJ Zinhle and Queen of House Bucie and the ninja president Winky D is on tomorrow. The gig will also feature tribal house trio Djembe Monks, DJs – Slamma, Liz and Babongile Sikhonjwa.

BAC Leisure DJ Liz will tonight headline the “All White Affair” where she’ll be supported by DJs Nospa, Tick Tock and Vulcan. Tomorrow DJ Mzoe will be the guest entertaine­r during the Summer Jam Short and T party. He will be supported by DJs Frostie, Dr Slam and Vano.

Ritz Night Club Masvingo Tonight at Ritz Night Club, Macheso who last visited the ancient city in May when he launched his latest album Tsoka Dzerwendo is expected to be in a scintillat­ing form, feeding revellers from his palm through his artistry on the bass guitar and nimble footedness. Donbosco Primary School Tomorrow Jah Prayzah will grace a family fundraisin­g event by the Masvingo Catholic Diocese at Donbosco Primary School grounds in Mucheke Suburb. REVEREND Togarepi Chivaviro has successful­ly launched two books and an eight track DVD album.

Rev Chivaviro launched the DVD album Mhepo Inopereked­za and the books Interpreti­ng Your Own Dreams written by him and Unlimited Grace written by his wife Juliet in front of over 300 people.

The launch was held at the New Creation Life Ministries in Bulawayo on Tuesday night.

Hilarious radio personalit­y Omphile Marupi kept the crowd through rib cracking jokes.

The DVD album, which has scenes shot in Zimbabwe and South Africa, sold for $2 and 275 copies were bought on the day. All the 250 copies of the books sold out.

During the launch fans had a chance to watch the whole DVD that has tracks such as Zvichanaka, Mercy re-wrote My life; Handinyara­re; Chikombore­ro; Vana va Mai varopafadz­e; Peace, Love and Hope and the title track Mhepo Inopereked­za.

The track that touched attendees was Vana va Mai varopafadz­e.

Private Lounge The club’s alluring dancers will continue entertaini­ng revellers with DJs Sweeto, Tawaz and Delroy on the decks.

He also re-recorded the video of his song with the same artistes in the previous version such as Baba and Amai Charamba, Noel Zembe, Pastor Haisa, Rumbi Zvirikuzhe, Bethen Pasinawako and Baba Mechanic Manyeruke. The song proved to be a crowd favourite as they danced and sang along to it. Rev Chivaviro expressed gratitude to Bulawayo fans as they bought all the books. “I would like to appreciate the love shown by Bulawayo fans as they supported us in a great way. The 250 books of the two copies that we had brought were all bought,” he said. “I wrote Interpreti­ng your own Dreams to inspire believers to have a firm belief in the Word of God as it will assist them in interpreta­tion of their dreams.” His wife Juliet said her book Unlimited Grace was meant to make people realise the grace of God upon their lives. “I based my title of the book on the theme of the song Ebenezer, as it made me to realise the grace of God upon our lives,” she said. Entertainm­ent at the launch was also provided by Pristly Sibbs, Roe Makawa, SOG and Bongani Ndlovu. Damo Zamar Ncube, who was expected to perform, failed to come due to other commitment­s. — @ dannymasuk­u Tshola and Henrix will be on rotation as the joint welcomes summer. On Sunday, it’s the “All New Jazz and Local Chill Zone” for the mature with DJ Henrix.

New Emagumeni Sports Bar Tonight the ever bubbly MaTing ting hosts “Ladies Night”. DJ DNcie Mavala will entertain revellers tomorrow and Sunday for the “Stokvel Night”.

T-Junction Sports Bar (New Lobengula) The “Funky Friday” party sessions are on tonight with resident DJs Mavesto, Houzen and Buthoz on rotation. The resident DJs will be back tomorrow for the “Kasi Vibez” and “Kasi Flavour Nights”. On Sunday it’s the “Old School Party” session with resident DJs.

The Lounge DJs Jaiza and Keezy will host the “Club Experience” tonight” with a mix of old and new songs from various genres. DJs Jaiza and Cris Rocx will take over tomorrow with the “Xplosive spring musik fiesta”. Iyasa will combine with DJs Kananjo and Jaiza to provide the best in African music and dance on Sunday night.

Ace Lounge DJ Khumz will entertain revellers alongside New Age dance group tonight. Khumz returns tomorrow but with Hlokoloza dance group. Bulawayo Queens and DJ Simple Studio will entertain revellers on Sunday.
