WE have seen touts scrambling for customers at bus termini in a manner that frustrates customers. Touts from different bus companies pounce on travellers and pull them in different directions in a bid to lure customers to board their buses. Such scenarios happen at Simon Muzenda (Fourth) Street bus terminus and Harare Showgrounds and these touts even have the guts to take a person’s belongings. The relevant authorities should do something quickly because we no longer feel comfortable at bus termini. – Makanaka Masenyama, Harare

I DO not understand the logic behind uncollected garbage in Harare. The Harare City Council has put skip bins in Hillside and Braeside but it is surprising that they have never collected the garbage from these bins. There is litter everywhere and the situation is worsened by stray dogs which move around looking for food. The council must stick to its obligations and stop blaming other people for their mistakes. It boggles the mind when they talk of world class city status by 2025. – Kudzai Gwara, Hillside

SEVERAL traffic lights in the city centre are not working and recently there was an accident at corner Sam Nujoma Street and Jason Moyo Avenue. The city council is not following up on these areas and it is high time they rectify this issue before more accidents occur. The traffic lights at this intersection have been down for close to a month now. – Nobility Tsiga, Harare

I AM really touched with what happened at our respected high school that is Mpandashango in Mberengwa. Can the Ministry concerned give the whole nation the reason why they are keeping this monster teacher in the field of teaching? I understand that this is not the first time for him to be in this mishap. I am not well versed in law but a teacher impregnating a 15-year-old pupil is kept teaching to make matters worse he was just fined. What does this show to other would be offenders? What a shame. Can the judiciary revisit this case. I smell a rat somewhere. — Puzzled and Not Amused.
