“Preparations have been going well and our athletes have been training very hard. Among the athletes representing the province are Trust Chidomaya and Willard Mutasa, who both earned automatic qualification after coming first and second respectively in the ZITF Coca- Cola Four-Minute Mile last month. “We felt that following their impressive performance in the CocaCola Four-Minute Mile they deserve a chance to represent us in long distance races. We are fielding our best athletes in the competition and we have confidence that they will do us proud,” Mpofu said. He said the team will leave on Friday afternoon after their last training session at White City Stadium.
