Delight yourself in The Lord

Colossians 3 vs 12

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.”

Being delightful is probably one of the single most important virtues that has been bestowed upon us. We are surrounded by so much gloominess that sometimes it becomes impossible to identify with pleasant thoughts.

Our minds play a critical role in determining how we deal with things and more importantly, how people receive us. I have noticed that those who transcend their surroundings and make a concerted effort to celebrate God’s goodness, regardless of what they may be experiencing, generally enjoy favour both in the eyes of the Lord and men.

We have all been given the ability to see hope, we owe it to the people around us to show the love of God in action by being pleasant to the people we interact with. Every smile we share and every act of kindness shows the mighty hand that directs our ways.

Make an effort today to be nice to everyone you will meet and as you do, you will notice a change in how people react to you. You will change lives, make a positive impact and more importantly, you will receive favor.
