POLICE in Bulawayo are looking for a five-year-old girl who was last seen with her father’s female friend in 2013.

Nomsa Tamisa Ncube went missing on June 16, 2013.

Her mother, Ms Dorcas Siziba, had left her with her husband when she went to Tsholotsho where she had found a teaching job.

Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Precious Simango said Ms Siziba’s husband, Mr Herbert Ncube, allegedly left the child with his female friend only known as Siphathisiwe Ndlovu or Moyo.

“Siphathisiwe is believed to be from Tsholotsho district and once owned a vending stall at the corner of Lobengula Street and Leopold Takawira Avenue where she used to sell infants’ clothing. She also sold her wares outside Greens Supermarket along 8th Avenue and George Silundika Street in Bulawayo,” said Insp Simango.

“Efforts to locate Siphathisiwe Ndlovu or Moyo and the missing child have been futile since then and their current whereabouts are unknown.”

She appealed to members of the public with information that could lead to the location of Siphathisiwe and the missing child to contact the investigating officer Sergeant Ngwenya on mobile number 0772 812 259 or the officer in charge CID Homicide Detective Inspector Siwela on (09) 71568 or 0775 503 359 or any nearest police station.

Meanwhile, police are also searching for Nyasha Chivhinge (27) who went missing on August 30, 2017.

She was last seen at number 53 Warnborough Mansions, corner 4th Avenue and Joshua Nkomo Street in Bulawayo.

“She left the apartment saying she was visiting her unknown grandmother residing at an unknown address,” said Insp Simango.

“Nyasha Chivhinge is short, heavily built with brown eyes, black hair. She was last seen wearing a pair of blue jean trousers and a maroon top.”

The police spokesperson said anyone with information regarding her whereabouts may contact Bulawayo Central Police Station on (09) 71515 or the investigating officer Constable Munemo on 0773 931 151.
