Mujuru should quit politics

-

EDITOR: Joice Mujuru`s party has split again for the umpteenth time and you wonder if she is not aware that her political path is leading to a ditch.

Her party, the National People`s Party, experiences defections almost on a weekly basis; it must be the record holder in that regard.

She may be passionate about serving Zimbabweans, but sometimes passion is not enough. One needs to be organised and show the electorate a clear sense of direction. How can people vote for her when her postZanu-PF political journey denotes confusion more than anything?

A party without structures will be wasting its time in the forthcoming election against a rejuvenated Zanu-PF. This should cause Mujuru headaches because every time she tries to set up decent structures they crumble, with counter accusations flying all over the place.

Mujuru`s political performance has not been impressive; there are university clubs which show better organisation than she exhibits.

The good thing about democracy is that it allows people to contest in elections and try their luck. With the privilege to contest comes hard lessons which Mujuru will learn first hand.

If someone close to her is reading, this may be the best time to advise her to focus on other ventures like farming. It seems her political sell by date has elapsed. King Ndiweni, Kwekwe
