REF: O-level exam cheating. Zimsec and the Minister must give us a better explanation on this cheating or else parents of affected pupils must not accept the re-write. If they could identify the cheating, then they know the culprits, as a nation I think we need better answers than this. The questions to be answered are what really happened, pupils can not cheat on their own, who assisted them. The credibility of Zimsec is at stake here. — Mapolisa

RESPONSE to “Govt orders O-Level English exam rewrite.” Who will finance the exams? What is going to be done with those who are out of the country who wrote the paper? Who will cater for accommodation for boarders whose place is already occupied by Form ones? Transport and food costs what about them.— Hodzi Parson

RESPONSE to “MDC-T on fire, heads for implosion.”: MDC is showing how undemocratic it really is. I am very disturbed with what is happening. They have one centre of power and now it seems Morgan must appoint a successor. Why cannot the party members vote? — Yowe.

THE problem we have is not just about one ‘O’ level exam paper. It is the majority of them including even ‘A’ level exam papers. The cheating is so widespread that one private college in Manicaland posted an advert in the Sunday Mail literally boasting they had more than 20 candidates with 15 points in ‘A’ level ‘MPC’ subject combinations. Rumour has it that at this particular private college teachers take their students through the Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (ZIMSEC) exam paper about a month before the actual sitting. I do not think ZIMSEC is not aware of this. If they are not, they are still to be held accountable for failing to secure examinations. — Mike

RESPONSE to “Govt orders O-Level English exam rewrite.”: Transparency requires that one gives full and clear information. The cheating story might be a smoke screen of something we will never know. — Noel Mutema.
