RESPONSE to “Violence mars Tsvangirai burial”: Why are people disrespecting Tsvangirai’s legacy? — Herbert Muzambi

RESPONSE to “Family defends stance on widow”: Well, they may try to justify their actions but that doesn’t make it right. The late Dr Morgan Richard Tsvangirai was married to Elizabeth — formally — up to the time of his death. She was by his side in all the difficulties that he faced. They should have allowed her to mourn her husband without all the drama. It seems that they never accepted her from the onset, but didn’t have the guts to say it to Morgan when he was strong. And now...these relatives look like they are setting themselves up to grab the full inheritance and leave his widow out in the cold. — Rudo Nhongo

WOMEN should support other women otherwise these kind of things will continue to happen in society. It’s like some people have now taken it as a norm. It’s not and it is not acceptable. Whatever dirty linen you have do not wash it in public. Zimbabwe knew one wife, who was seen as the mother and hence deserved that respect. She appeared to be treated like some commoner and her presence not really acknowledged. Gogo saying she doesn’t want to see her face and not being introduced as part of the family. Anyway we’ll let God be the judge. — Connie Ch

RESPONSE to “President appoints new NPRC Chair” Good move. — Leo Zimondi Ziki

MDC has always been violent. What is happening to Khupe and company now is what happened to Biti, Mangoma, etc in 2014. The party is going to split again owing to a leadership wrangle. If Chamisa thinks he is popular why is he against Extraordinary Congress? As a lawyer he must know better, he must learn to uphold the constitution if he is an aspiring presidential candidate. —

WHAT happened in Buhera was the MDC people’s way of showing their last respect to their leader. Maturity is needed. Their legacy and ideology of splitting apart towards elections will never end. They will find each other after losing. They are showing that hooliganism to the advantage of opponents. Keep it up MDC youth. You are shooting yourselves in the foot. Your donors were there. They now have first-hand information about you. Soon the party will be dead and buried. — Patriot
