When people hurt you

-

Luke 6 vs 27 - 28 (NIV)

“But to you who are listening I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.”

It would appear that the heart of a man is inherently evil. It is surprising sometimes that the people you have helped or propped up are the first ones to turn on you or betray you.

It is often mind boggling and goes beyond normal sense of logic why kindness is often met by hate, malice, and evil. When met with this disappointment, many of us tend to give up on the humanity of love and the civility that is expected to be the norm in how we relate.

Though we expect the best from everyone, we should never forget that in as much as the Lord reigns, evil remains a part of this life and up until the new earth becomes a reality, these are things we will have to contend with.

We must always remember that no matter who has let us down, God will give us the strength to overcome, continue, and to learn from the experiences.Put your faith in the Lord.

Although you will suffer, cry, and feel the pain of life, He remains steadfast in His love and His desire for us to be the best of who He envisaged us to be. He will not let you down.

Be blessed
