Bosso gets into cosmetics partnership

- Ricky Zililo

HIGHLANDERS have entered into a partnership with a local cosmetics manufacturing company Bonique Perfumes that will see the club getting 20 percent of product sales.

Bonique join a host of partners, who include Arenel, Nyaradzo Funeral Assurance and Sanctuary Insurance, who are in partnerships with Highlanders, tapping into the club’s wide fan base.

Speaking at the partnership unveiling at the club’s offices yesterday, Highlanders spokesperson Ronald Moyo said they hope the one-year renewable deal will yield desired results, with the club seeking to create more partnerships to generate revenue.

“Bonique products will go a long way in assisting the club, as 20 percent sale of each product will be coming to Highlanders. We have a lot of followers and are looking at raking a considerable amount from this partnership,” said Moyo.

“Bonique are licenced to produce Highlanders’ branded cosmetics. You’ll be seeing them in the streets and other distribution channels through our chapters. For us as Highlanders, it’s a new chapter together with Bonique, but it’s not a new approach, as we have always said that there’s a strategic plan we have in place. That strategic plan is to grow our basket of partners. We welcome Bonique, as they are officially licenced to produce and sell Highlanders’ branded cosmetics,” he said.

Bonique director Blessing Marangwanda said their products are safe for use and have been certified by the Standard Authority of Zimbabwe (SAZ).

“We decided to partner Highlanders because we realised that as a company, we also need to ensure that every product bought by our customers benefits football. Highlanders understand the partnership and are supporting the partnership in terms of support base. I think in the country they are the best and we chose Highlanders because their fans support every initiative of their team. We’re looking forward to seeing this deal growing and bringing results, and making sure football is the biggest winner,” Marangwanda said.

The new partnership comes a week after the club extended a begging bowl to its fans and well-wishers to raise funds. — @ZililoR
