THE Warriors squad for the Botswana-Zambia encounter is expected to be announced today.

According to a close source, coach Zdravko Logarusic has retained almost everyone that was part of the Algeria back-to-back games and added a few changes.

Knox Mutizwa, Kundai Benyu, Admiral Muskwe and Ian Nekati are some of the new additions.

“Quite a number of teams want their players to come contrary to what the newspapers have been saying.

“I don’t think we will have a problem with people not coming unless the players don’t want to come.

“Waiting on confirmation, invitations were sent end of January,” said the source.

General manager Wellington Mpandare has also confirmed.

“The squad is there and we’ve already sent invites to players’ respective clubs.

“We are still to confirm availability because there are injuries and Covid-19 restrictions as well.

“The squad will be extended to avoid last-minute call ups,” he said.

The Warriors play Botswana away and then Zambia four days later at home.
