INFORMATION, Publicity and Broadcasting Minister, Monica Mutsvangwa, said Government is committed to addressing issues affecting players in the medical fraternity.

She said Government appreciated efforts being done by the medical practitioners to keep the health sector performing well.

Minister Mutsvangwa said this in her address at the second edition of the Medical and Dental Private Practitioners of Zimbabwe Association (MDPPZA) conference held in Mutare over the weekend.

“I appreciate doctors and the work they have done for us.

“During the time Covid19 was at its peak, I would call on Dr (Johannes) Marisa and he would walk into so many homes so that he assists those that were not feeling well and there was no single day he said he could not visit those patients.

“I want to salute the vice president of the association, Dr Mhinga, we learnt a lot from Kadoma, that is why I am so proud again to be welcomed to this beautiful province,” she said.

Minister Mutsvangwa said there was need for people to come together to build a better Zimbabwe.

“This is our country, we need to push it together until we get the Zimbabwe we all want.

“It is important that you know that you have a President who is open for business, he wants to listen to your issues.

“Our President Cde ED Mnangagwa

has said he will not leave anyone behind and that includes the health service delivery.

“The fact that you are private practitioners does not necessarily mean that you are different from those working for the Government.

“I am a Minister of the media sector and I do not see the difference between journalists who are public or private.

“Everyone is important, my door is open for anyone. We now have journalists who are all over holding their gadgets, I look at all the journalists the same.”

Ambassador Chris Mutsvangwa, who also graced the conference, noted that medical practitioners were of great importance to the country.
