- Nyasha Kada

SOUTH AFRICA-BASED entrepreneur, Precious Chando, says she is out to inspire other Zimbabwean women, based in foreign countries, that it is possible to start thriving businesses in their adopted homes.

Chando has been in South Africa since 2016.

She runs a day care centre, a beauty bar and is involved in the beauty products industry.

She is also working on her clothing label set to be introduced soon.

Chando is set to host a high-tea event on November 12 in Pietermaritzburg,

KwaZulu Natal.

It will feature special guests, Urban Tete Zuva Habane, Nondumiso Malinga, KZN entrepreneur, and Mrs Rose from Gauteng, as well as female wheel- spinner, DJ Winnie.

In an interview with H-Metro, Chando said: “My high tea event seeks to empower and motivate other women to start their businesses no matter the challenges we face here in foreign countries.

“Basically, it’s going to focus on topics like entrepreneurship, leadership, innovation, managing change, prioritisation, sacrifice and

perseverance.

“We are expecting over 100 guests and I am quite sure it’s going to be of great help to those who want to start and those who have already started.”
