- Arron Nyamayaro

DAUGHTERS of Virtue (DOV) International Ministries founder, Prophetess Memory Matimbire, held a night of prayer with other church leaders at City Sports Centre on Friday.

Apostle Arome Osayi of Nigeria, Apostle Thomas Radebe of South Africa, Apostle Chaka, Bishop Muparutsa and Apostle Batsirai Java were among other church leaders who attended the all-night prayer.

Apostle Osayi hailed Prophetess Matimbire for teaching her followers the importance of prayer.

“We are blessed to have Prophetess Matimbire, who teaches people to pray.

“Many so-called men of God don’t do that, but she teaches them to rely on their prayers.

“Jesus Christ taught his disciples how to pray and not depend on his prayers,” he said.

Prophetess Matimbire emphasised the importance of individual prayers.

“There are no more limits in praying to God,” she said.

“We have been counted among the chosen ones through believing in Jesus Christ.

“It hurts to see women being sexually abused while consulting self-styled prophets for deliverance.

“Ini ndakadhiniwa nehupenyu zvinhu zvandiwomera ndikadzidza kunamata ndirindoga mugomo. Nhasi ndirikuti kana wadhiniwa nehupenyu pfugama unamate kuna Mwari akatendeka.

“Stop depending on other people’s prayers, go down on your knees and face God if you believe that Jesus Christ died for your sins and was resurrected to give life to anyone who believes in him.” Gospel musician, Minister Takesure Zamar, and DOV choir led the crowd in praise and worship.
