DRUNKARDS FC take on visiting Bulawayo Zwitter FC in a social friendly football match at Rufaro on Sunday.

Drunkards FC coach, Nora Samapindu, said they have been planning for this crunch match, and believes his players are ready for the challenge.

“We have been planning this game for months now and I believe that my players are now all physically and mentally ready for this challenge,” he said.

“This match is all about fun, just like any social football match, and we want to promote unity through sport.

“I think Bulawayo Zwitter FC are a good team, but we believe we are better than them.

“I don’t think they are going to walk away with a win in our backyard.”

He added:

“We also want to take this opportunity to urge people to drink responsibly as we approach the festive season. “We are the Drunkards, but we put safety first. “I’d like to urge everyone to come in their numbers and witness the best of social football.”

Bulawayo Zwitter secretary, Tanaka Mrewa, said they were excited about the game.

“Drunkards FC is a team that has been playing quite well and it would be a great experience playing against them.

“Such moments are for creating memories and the fact that we will be playing this game at Rufaro Stadium is something to really celebrate.

“Bulawayo Zwitter have a number of vibrant subscribers who are always ready to be part of the travelling squad.

“They always make sure they bring the right vibes to all matches.”
