BOSSO’S BIG BOOST
ALTHOUGH they failed to clinch the Castle Lager Premier Soccer League title, Highlanders will end the year all smiles after their principal sponsor Sakunda announced that Bosso will get a 250 percent bonus.
Sakunda representative, Nqobile Magwizi, who was standing in for the energy giant’s boss, Kuda Tagwirei, said the gesture was to reward the efforts made by the club’s players, and executive, this season.
“This year, Highlanders will be receiving a 250 percent bonus just to celebrate the efforts made by the team and staff members.
“Given where the club was at the beginning of the season, and ending at number five, calls for a celebration.
“As Sakunda, we are not worried about the final result, but the process, efforts and commitment by both the players and management.
“Today, we want to recognise this effort and commitment through bonuses which will be paid out before the festive season.”
Sakunda, Highlanders’ management and players’ representatives had dinner at Cresta Churchill in Bulawayo on Sunday.
Sakunda have been doing more for Highlanders than what is in the contract, such as the payment of Independence Cup bonuses.
They sponsored the executive’s trip to Europe, the club’s strategic workshop in Victoria Falls, and one they recently held last week.
