MOTHER AT NINE, HOW DOES SHE COMPARE WITH OTHER CHILD MUMS?

- Reporter/naijmobile. H-Metro

THE nine-year-old Tsholotsho girl gave birth in Bulawayo on Monday via a Caesarean section.

She gave birth to a baby girl at the United Bulawayo Hospitals where she was under specialist care.

How does she compare with other child mothers?

LINA MEDINA

Lina Medina is the youngest mother in the world, and that record remains unbroken.

Her parents brought her to the hospital due to a swollen stomach and, instead of the tumour they expected to find, doctors were shocked when they discovered Lina was seven months pregnant.

The doctors had to send her to a specialist to double confirm the diagnosis because Lina was only FIVE years-old. Apparently, she went through puberty somewhere in the range of 2-3, and at age 5, she had fully developed breasts.

After a month of the discovery of her pregnancy, Lina delivered a healthy baby boy via Caesarean section. This happened in May 1939. The identity of the man who impregnated her remains a mystery.

LEYLA MAFI

Leyla from Iran was only 8-years old when her blood brother started

paying their mother for a chance to have sexual intercourse with her.

At the age of 9, Leyla gave birth to her first child. Guess who the father was?

One of the evil brothers.

Her brothers were later caught and flogged for their crimes, but Leyla was sentenced to death for illegal sex. A lawyer later stopped the execution.

ANNA MUMMENTHALER

When it comes to puberty, the average age for young boys is between 9-12 while girls will usually begin menstruation around 8-11years old.

But in the case of Anna Mummenthaler

of Switzerland, she was only two years old when she began having her monthly period cycle.

Anna was only eight years and nine months when she gave birth to a stillborn baby girl. The father of the child was identified as a family friend.

HILDA TRUJILLO

She lived in a one-bedroom apartment in Peru with several family members, including her 22-year-old cousin.

When Hilda became increasingly sick, the doctor who attended to her was shocked to find out that Hida was already five months pregnant.

On the 2nd of December, 1957, at 8 years old, Hilda gave birth to a tiny baby girl she named Mary.

A six-year-old girl in India identified only as 'H' put herself in an unusual place in history as the only known girl who never menstruated before conceiving her first child.

'H' was rushed to hospital with a protruding stomach and abdominal pain.

The doctor assumed she had a tumour until scans revealed she was pregnant. Her baby, a 4-pound girl, was delivered via Caesarean section. The father of her child is unknown to this day. -
