I FEEL VERY SPECIAL
FC Platinum goalie, Wallace Magalane, says he is happy to make the Castle Lager Soccer Stars of the Year list.
He is the second goalkeeper on the list.
The other is Nelson Chadya from Ngezi Platinum Stars.
“I thank God for my success because it can only be Him who makes all things possible.
“I want to thank Him for the great season I’ve had. “It’s something that we should be thankful for as players.”
He added:
“I feel so honoured, and I want to thank my fellow players, coaches and journalists who voted for me.
“It’s something that makes you feel good knowing that people notice what you’ve been doing.”
He helped his team win the league title, and has promised to keep working hard.
“Going forward I want to make sure that I get more game time, be a better goalie and to avoid conceding many goals like I did this season.
“I think that I have improved as a player compared to past seasons.
“I think my future will be bright if I continue with my good form.
“Being part of the Soccer Stars makes me feel special. “It’s something that every player wishes for and I am grateful for this moment.”
Magalane said he enjoyed the season and the motivation he got from his coach, Norman Mapeza.
“Coach Mapeza is a good motivator.
“He is someone who wants the best from us.
“At the beginning of the season, he told us that we are capable of anything just like any other team.
“I think that’s what drove us to do better and aim higher as a team,” he said.
