NRSL unveil 2023 calendar

THE ZIFA Northern Region Division One League have released their roadmap for the 2023 season.

The NRSL are largely considered the best run league in the country.

CUMA Academy, Golden Valley, Cam & Motor FC and Harare City Cubs are the confirmed relegated teams.

They will be replaced by MWOS FC, OMNIA FC, Shamva Mine FC, Concession United and FC Prisons Stars.

“These teams stand to be promoted to the Northern Region Division One League once they meet our set criteria, as was communicat­ed to them at our recent meeting.

“The grounds inspection­s will be done as soon as possible and be reminded that only certified venues will be cleared to host NRSL matches,” said the league’s chairman, Martin Kweza.

Kweza also urged Northern Region league teams to take advantage of the rainy season to improve their grounds’ turf.

9. Mid-season break July 1 – 31

10. Second window July 1 – 31

11. Tournament (preliminar­y rounds) July 1 – 31

12. Soccer Stars of the Year selection - Nov 5

13. Finals – tournament Dec 3

14. Annual awards ceremony Dec 15
