Nyikadzino sees progress
NEW boys Sheasham coach, John Nyikadzino, said his team is showing great improvement as it gears up for its debut season in the topflight league.
Nyikadzino gave this verdict after playing Dynamos and Black Rhinos in friendly matches in the past two weeks.
“After the Black Rhinos matches, I believe that my boys are progressing well. There was a great improvement as compared to the first match against Dynamos.
“I am happy that my players are learning quickly. It’s a positive thing for the team as it means we can go through quite a number of issues on how we want to play before the season kicks-off.
“We are defending as a team, which is a critical aspect of our play. Against Rhinos, we managed to create chances which we didn’t manage to create against Dynamos. This means we now have to work on converting chances we create. We are really moving in the right direction.
“I am looking forward to playing more friendlies with other PSL teams. As a coach, I am open to playing anyone willing to play us as I am aware every game will bring a new dimension of progress which is very important for us as a team in our preparations,” said Nyikadzino.
Nyikadzino believes the addition of utility player, Roy Useni, from Whawha to his squad is a major boost to the team.
The two worked together
at Chapungu.
He said he intends to deploy Useni as a right back, but, if need be, he will also play him as a centre back or midfielder.
Useni was solid for WhaWha last season.
“He brings a lot of experience to the team that we need. He adds value to the squad and he will be important in our squad. He will definitely bring stability to our squad,” said Nyikadzino.
